TOPPS Community Based Work

In line with our aim to Support Individuals & Organisations to Realise & Fulfil Their Potential by Opening Doors to Opportunities, TOPPS undertakes & supports a range of community based programmes, projects & organisations.

The Wrens Nest estate suffers some of the highest levels of deprivation in the U.K.
Wrens Nest F.C. (formerly Wrens Nest Juniors) were formed through association with the Meadow Road Centre & Venture site, on the Wrens Nest estate, to engage disadvantaged young people from the estate in positive community based activity.
The team have been regular UK representatives in the Donosti & Gothia Cups, which are World Cup & European competitions for club youth teams, competing with teams such as Ajax of Amsterdam & Barcelona. Wrens Nest has participated in competitions held in Spain & Sweden on 4 separate occasions, reaching the Quarter Finals each time.
To be able to compete, both in domestic & international competitions Wrens Nest have been reliant on the support of both the local community & organisations.

TOPPS has recognised the value of such activity within local communities, particularly activities that engage disadvantaged young people within areas of high deprivation.
